Claim on the Unitid States. — A tel
egraphic correspondent at Washington, an
nounces to a paper at the North as a mat
ter of some consequence, that n claim has
been brought before the Mixed Commis
sion at London, for the two. millions and
a half of bonds issued by the State of Flor
ida, previous to its admission into the Uni
on, as a Stale. There is probably no doubt
that the English bondholders will press
their claims on the commission, and just
as little doubt that they will be disallowed.
Tho United States has no more to do witii
these bonds than it has with tho debt of
nny iother of the Stales.
An Intense Native. — The most de
