Doryphora 10-lineatai. but the Dory phora jnncta a bug so nearly resembling the 1). 10-lineata as not to guished but upon close comparison. This bug has but eight stripes on its wing cases, and the secoud and third strips join behind as in the case of the D. 10-juneta. They also have the black spot on each thigh. The grubs have not vet appeared. so I cannot report at present upon their habits or destructive ness. Yours, etc., E.O.AUSTIN. Rain. Monday and Tuesday people from all sections of the County who were here attending court, told one common story that unless we had rain very soon the grass crop would 1*- a failure and other things would suffer badly. Tuesday afternoon it commenced raining and continued well into the night. People seemed satisfied for once to let it rain, no matter who got wet. I'iohins Continues Lively. Our own citizens and parties from abroad are continually whipping the streams with fly or bait and gener ally with fair success. But we heard one gentleman, a stranger, declare that I In- w.i- juke disgusted with the thing. He had leen out six or eight hours in company with half a dozen others and altogether they only got about twenty small fish. < ourt. His Honor Judge "Williams is holding the present term of Court. Business is being rapidly disposed of. We will give a rejioit of proceedings next week. Weed Yonr Own CariSciH. Weed y< ur own gardens—let others alone. We'll have plenty of weeding to attend to at home: Tor if weeds, tares and thistles by others are grown You will find in your gardens enough of your own. "Twould be better I think for our gar dens all round If not a tare, weed or thistle could in them be found. But as all are er > - <1 with them in gar dens the liest. Wi ed your own garden first before weed ing the rest. When the job is quite fiu.shed not a weed to be found. Every thing we call evil pulled out of the ground Yon will find yourself wearied and wil ling to rest From trying to make your own g ..den the l*rSt. Our weeding. 11 finished 'tis a job that's j well done! Hew nicely things grow in v. nn show ers and sun. We can go to our neighbors where weed e'er abound And pull them up for th m where e'er they are found. But beh"ld! our own garden, my sou!! what a sight. Weeds growing again in such terrible plight, Growing thicker and f;isU-r titan ever before, Keep pulling and pulling over and o'c r. These lines have a moral which if well understood Ai.d lived to by all, would result in much g'.od.
