Four very interesting children were murdered—Laura, aged 14: Kate. aged 10; Caroline, aged 7, and Richard, aged 3 years. They first caught Mr. 13. and his father, tied theta together and, by force of arms, drove them tot he bank of the river, and slot and stabbed them to death, and threw their bodies together into the tiver. They then took p••or little Richard (the youngest child), tied his nruis and feet, and threw him into the r iver. Then the two youngest girls wets tied together and throe n into the river, where they, too, soon found a watery grave. The eldest girl, who was said to he very pretty and intelligent. was forced into the stream, and because death refused to receive her into his arms, they tired at her and beat her over tile head with the butt of their muskets, until she sank to rise no more.
