Lancaster county; do certify that we have carefully ex amined the above account of Michael B. Shirk, Epq., Treasarer of said county, and compared his vouchers with the tame, and find a balance in his bands of fifty-two thousand, seven hun dred and thirty-tour dollars and fifteen cents ($52,721 15.) We have examined the account of William Correct, Esq., Treasirrer ofthe Poor and House of Employment of Lancaster county, and hod a balance in his bands of seven hundred and twenty-one dollars and tifty-seven cents (s72] 57) on the Ist day of January, 1861. We have also examined the account of Hugh S. Gera, Erg., Treasurer of the Boardof Prison Inipectors. and find it correct, and showing a balance due him by the said Board, on the Ist day of January, 1861, of seven hundred and sixty-four dollars and forty-six cents. ($765.16.) The liabilities of the county for individual loans, at the present time at 5 per cent per annum, amount to $126,720 75; deducting the amount in Lands of the Treasurer ($52,731 15) would show an indebtedness of 873,286 60.
