Be it ordained and enacted by the Town Council of the Borough of Carlisle and it is hereby ordained and enacted by autpo rity of the same i That-tho rents for ‘bo-:stalls and stands in and about the market house shall hereafter bo as follows : For each.stall of the inner range of stalls, $lO 00 per annum, paya ble semi-annually in advance. For. each space of four feet on the outer benches $2,60, and lor each space of three feet $2.00 per annum paya. bio in advance. Every butcher or retailer of meat, occupying any space outside of the market house shall pay for-tbe same 3(4 cts. for’each morning or other part of a day, or $5,00 per annum payable in advance. Eacii huckster- re tailing fruit, vegetables, or other provisions, and occupying for that purpose any space around or near the market house, shall pay twenty-five cents for oabli morning or other part of a day, or $3,00 per annum, payable in advance. Pro vided, That no fractional part'of a stall orstand shall bo let to any person. Sec. 2. If any person shall obstruct in any manner'any part of the pavement within or sur. rouding the market house square, and aha-ll not remove such obstruction immediately upon no tice given by,the Clerk of the market?.he shall forfeit and pay for every such offence the sum of one dollar. Provided, That persons having provisions or cither articles for sale during mar ket hours may occupy with such articles three feet of the exterior part of the pavement around the said square. , ' Sec. 3. The Treasurer of.the Borough shall issue a license for the-exclusive* use and occu pancy of the stalls and stands in and around the market house for a period not exceeding one year nor less than six months upon the terms prescribed by Sec. I of this Ordinance, for which licenses lie shall be entitled to receive from each applicant lor the inner ra'ngu of stalls fifty cents, and from ail -others twonty-livo cents each, as compensation for this duty.
