NO woman of delicacy is willing to disclose the peculiar ailments incident to her sox, even to a most intimate family physician. This modesty and delicacy is implanted by ■nature, mid neither should nor need be subjec ted to the rude shocks inevitable in making known to the other sex those ailments belonging exclusively to the female. Except in extreme cases, her sensitiveness will sacrifice her health father than herdolicacy. The consequences are serious, lamentable, and life-long. Tims what at first could have been easily rem edied, or perhaps better still, not incurred, be comes a complication of diseases, not only min ing the health ol the mother, and embittering Iter days by sickness and suffering, but entailing broken constitutions upon her children, and embarrassing, if not distressing, the business and pecuniary prospects of the husband. Lot every sensible woman take warning in time, (as thousands have done) by the bitter experience and sufferings of others, of the dreadful conse qiiences she entails upon herself and those en deared to her, by her ignorance of the simplest and plainest rules of health as connected with the marriage state, the violation of which entails disease, sutferingand misery. How many are suffering from obstructions or irregularities peculiar to the female system, which undermine the health, the effects ol which they are ignorant, and (or which their delicacy forbids seeking medical advice! How many sutler from prolapsus uteri (falling of the womb,) or from Jluor nlbns (weakness, debility, fee.)' How many are in constant agony for many months preceding confinement! How many have diffi cult. if not dangerous deliveries, and slow and uncertain recoveries! To the <incstion, hrtvv aro these to be preven lOil f w bat shall be done / the answer is simple. Let every woman ascertain for herself, with out violence to Iter delicacy, the nature and character of the ailment (to which she as a fe male is subject) the causes from which it may arise, and the proper remedies for its euro and (nt nrc prevention. Tins she can do by possessing n little volume (alre.idv possessed by thousands) which tells her u bat is the matter, and tells her xvh.il to do I lor it, 111 simple but chaste words, and such as she can understand.
