CONCERT.—The Concert of Chris

crowded, many failing to secure seats.—
The programme occupied very near two

'merit, the School being assisted by some of
our best amateur musicians. The platform
had been handsomely decorated with:ever
green, festoons &c., while an arrangement
of gas jets suspended in front of the'plet
:form displayed the words "God Is Love,"
with three large stars, and underneath
- "Feed my Lambs." Although the exercis

light on the stage, the supply of gis being
inadequate, they counnandita close at

CARE OF THE FEET.--Concerning
that subject the Scientific .4 /aerie= very
truely says : "Many are aimless' in the
keeping of the feet. If they wash them
once a week they think they are doing well,
They do not consider that the largest pores
of the systerit are 'located ill the bottom of
the foot, and the most offensive matter is
discharged through the pores, They wear
stockings from the begining to the end of
week without change, which become com
pletely saturated with offensive matter.
"11l health its genenated by such treat
ment of the ket. The pores are not re-*
pellanta but absorbents, and the fetid mat
ter, to a greater or less extent, is taken
hack into the system. The feet should be
washed every day with pure water only, as
well as the armpits, from which an offen
sive odor is .also emitted, unless daily ab
lution is practiced. Stockings should not
be worn more than a day or two at a tithe.
They may be worn one day, and then aired
and sunned and.worn another day, If nec
essity."
