Deceased was born in county fifty-seven years ago and was the son of Mr. and Mra George W. Austin. When but a boy the family moved to Howard, this county, and later to Milesburg, where both father and son were employed in the McCoy and Linn iron works. Later he en® tered the employ of the late A. (3. Mor: rie and worked in the lime industry until he was elected County Commis: sioner, in 1019, In 1923 he was re- elected to the Board and was serving his second term when he jdied. Mr. Austin is survived by his wife, who was Miss Mollie Smith. of Miles: burg, and two daughters, Miss Mabel at home and Mise Catherine, In Al toona.
