Potatoes have gone down to twenty. five cents a bushel, Jacob Wagner, Sr., of near Potters Mills, died on Monday evening. Mr. Wagner had been ill for over two years and had gone blind, He was a fervent member of the Reformed church, and an uncompromising Democrat. The new Lutheran church at Centre Hall will be dedicated to the service of the Lord, on the 20th of June, 10 a, m. Dr. Conrad, of Philadelphia, editor of the Lutheran Observer, will preach the dedication sermon, and will also preach at night on the same day.—W. State College is to have a new and one of the most modern theatres in Pennsylvania in the near future, Mau- rice Baum has just made the announce- ment that on or about May 1st he will break ground on the loton College ave- nue between the Times office and the First National Bank building for the erection of this most up to the minute play house, which is to be of Adam style exterior, and the interior decorations to be of the same period, It is planned to make the new structure just as near fire proof as modern mechanical skill can produce. The front is to be of tile and the balance of brick, concrete and steel, The plans call for a seating capacity of 1,200 with provisions for enlargement to 2,500 just as soon as conditions war- rant it. Steps will be eliminated and incline stairways will lead to the bal- cony.
