Irven as postmas- ter, A mill will be put into the Van Tries woods, this side ot Linden Hall, in a few days, by Huyett, Livingwood & Co., from Berks and Lebanon counties. They intend to manufacture only car stuff, Jack Grove, living a short distance be- low Centre Hall, shot a deer in his or- chard, a few days ago. A pleasant birthday surprise was sprung upon Ralph Ziegler by his neigh. bors and friends at his home ope mile north of Spring Mills on Wednesday evening of last week. The event was carefully planned by his wife. The re- freshments consisted of ice cream, cake, coffee and pickles. Lee, Mr, and Mrs. John Zerby and family, Mr. and Mrs. Scott McMutrie, Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Weagley, Mr. and Mrs. William Shultz, Mrs, George Shook, Julia Carter, Mrs. Hulda Meyer, Frank Shultz, Paul Weigley,t James and Charles Shook, and Ethel Musser and Ruth various games they all returned to their homes wishing Mr. Zeigler many happy returns of the day. ———————— A —————— “Lemon Soda Jag in Bellefonte Jail. According to the story told by E. L. Remsnyder, when arraigned in the Cen- ter qounty court last week on a charge of driving an automobile while he was intoxicated, the trouble was all caused by a bottle of lemon soda. Mr. Rem. spyder was arrested in May. When brought before the court he entered a plea of guilty but explained that at the time of eged intoxication he but lemon soda, which made him sick and brought on the condition that resu As he had alre gy nis had drunk nothing three months in jail the court suspended sentence on erved payment of cost.
