W, C. Farver Dead,
Willlam C. Farner, an aged and re-
spected citizen of Potter township,
paesed away at his home at Colyer
Wednesday morning at 1:30 o'clock,
following a lengthy illness with ure-
mic poisoning. For the past two
years Mr. Farner had been In in
bealth and for the greater part of the
past year was confined to bis bed. Mr.
Farner held the office of Overseer of
the Poor for a number of years and
gave the office bis careful attention.
He was born at Bprucetown seventy-
seven years ago Japuary 24th last, sod
lived in Potter township all his life,
He was a carpenter by trade, bat dar.

Surviving him are his wife and
three children ; namely, James and
Mary, at home, and Thomas Farner,
of Philadelphis. There remains also
one brother, John T, Farner, of Hyde-
town, Crawford county.
Funpersl services will be beld in the
Zon Evangelical cnorch, near Tussey-
ville, on Baturday morpiog at ten
o'clock, followed by burial in the ad-
joining cemetery. Rev. Maneviel will
be the officiating minister.

Association was held at Philipsburg,
Tuesday and Wednesday of last week
in the M. E. church. The first session
opened at 9:30 a, m, The music was
conducted by Prof. B. D. Ackley, of
Philadelphia. Addresses of welcome
