Earl Ross, of Linden Hall, who on the first of April will change farming locations moving from Pennsylvania Furnace to a farm in Brush Valley, at- tended the horse sale on Monday with 8 view to purchasing a team. L. L. Bmwith, the new liveryman, was to Lock Haven last week where he purchased a driving horse, With the purchase of another horee recently from D. A. Work was begun last week on re- placing the telegraph with the tele- phone on the L. & T. branch of the P. R. R., from Montandon to Bellefonte. The Bel! linemen are now between Co- burn and Mifflinburg and are rapidly coveriog the ground. This change on the part of the railroad company wae decided upon some time ago and will ultimately extend over the greater part of the system. College songs of the most spproved type are to be'recorded by the Penn- sylvania State College glee club for s prominent manufacturer of phono- graph records. Officials of the comn- pany and C. C. Robinson, director of music at Peon State, have arranged for recordings to be made next week when State's club will be enroute to New York City to compete in the third enoual intercollegiate concert, The presence of the orchestra con- nected with Centre lodge, I. 0, O, F., of Bellefonte, at the meeting of the local order, Saturday night, had a good effect on the attendance, The lodge room was filled to capacity, there be- fog more then eighty members and visitors present.
