While in the former institution Mr. Elder won the fellowship in christian archaeol- ogy and in the seminary captured the church history fellowship, He ex- pects to go to Rome, Italy, in the near future, and take up the study of christian archaeology, s38 of sisler, rier condition, ranton. ress, STATE SPRAYING DEMONSTRATION, Application of Insecticide and Fanglelde Spray to be Made in Model Orchards, Following the public demonstra- tions in pruning fruit trees, and spray- ing them for scale insects with the lime-sulfur solution in the orchards conducted under the co-operation of the Division of Zoology of the Btate Department of Agriculture, the work of spraying for such insects as coddling moth, ecurculio, canker worm, bud moth and tent-caterpillar, and the prevention of fungus diseases will now be taken up at this season. Public meetings will be held in two bundred and fifty orchards in the State, to which the public is cordially invited, A lecture ‘on the above mentioned pests, giving their life his- tory and best methods of destroying them will be explained, and literature treating on these enemies of the fruit grower distributed free.
