Home dis tricts will not open their schools until a week later in order to give the teach- ers & week during which time they are not under obl'gitions to school boards. The Bellefonte jfurnace is likely®to close this week, aud the Nittany fur nace will also blow out its fires in a very short time. This is bad news for Bellefonte, and, in fact the whole community. There has been little de- mand for iron during the past months, and but for the fact that the farnsees were working up stock purchased long ago, the plants would have been,shut down much sooner. ———————— A ————— Jewelry Store for Sale, The jewelry store of the late G.
