Ephraim Bartholomew died at his home in Millheim, Tuesday of last week, aged sixty-nine years, ten months and twenty-one days. He had been in ill health for a number of years but recently be had a stroke of paralysis from the effects of which he died. He was a veteran of the Civil war and served his country faithfully until the close of the strife, He leaves to survivea widow and two daughters, Mra, Agnes Corl, of Btate College, and Katie at home, Funeral services were held Friday forenoon, conducted by Rev. B. R. M. Bheeder and interment was made in Millheim. sm som— ff Joseph B. Lee, a very highly re- gpected citizen of Irvonis, Clearfield county, died Friday afternoon, 29th ult., from a complication of diseases. BE Mr. Lee was a resident of Hublers- burg for forty years, He wss married in 1860 to Miss Martha E. Curran. At the outbreak of the Civil war Mr. Lee enlisted as a private in Company C, 148th regiment Penna. Volunteers and remained in the service until bon- orsbly discharged in 1865. Bome years sgo he moved to Irvona, where he lived a retired life. He was the father of four sops ; two of whom with his wife, survive.
