The reports from the pastors of the various charges of Classis, both parochial and statistical, show a growth in the. kingdom, and earnest work In the vineyard of the Lord. All the reports were characterized by a healthy and optimistic spirit, The state of religion and morals was generally reported good. The day sessions were largely business sessions. The evening sessions were of a dis- tinetly religious character, and ad- dresdes were given on various sub- jects—home missions, foreign mis sions, Sunday school work, church literature, students for the ministry, constitution of the church, the con- sistory and its relations to the mem- bers, ete.
