Ard, one of the most widely known men in upper Penne Valley, died at his home in Pine Grove Mills Wednesday morning. The deceased was the descendant of Dr. Joseph B. Ard, who died in Phi adelphia in 1861. George Ard, who was born in Lewistown, was his father. There were four children, namely, Eliza R. wife of Francis Shoemaker, who died in Philadelphia ; Dr. Wil son P., a practicing physician, Woodward ; Ellen R., wife of Robert A.
