Faust, of Altoona, was among friends at his former home at Potters Mills, a short time ago, and in the absence of the editor called at the Reporter office. Reports from the hospital at Phila- delphia indicate that Charles Weaver, of Linden Hall, who underwent an operation for appendicitis, is improv- ing. This is Mr. Weaver's own report by letter. With a view of getting fresh alr and an abundance of exercise, J. Dorsey Hunter, proprietor of the Index book store, Bellefoute, took the train for Centre Hall, and returned on foot over Nittany Mountain, but before doing 8), called on the Reborter. Rev. and Mrs. M. 8B, Derstine, ac- companied by their little daughter Marguerite, are at the home of the former's mother, Mrs. Barah Derstine, in Centre Hall. Mrs. Derstine and daughter, before coming here, had made a trip to Pittsburg. Charles D. Emerick, who has been in the employment of the Pennsyl- vania Railroad Company for several yeare aud located at Pittsburg, is at home at present. He has been in delicate health for about a year, much of the time of which he was in a hospital, Bumner V. Mrs Shultz bad intended coming to Centre Hall to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Keller, but the sickness of her husband prevented it at this time, Dr. Ed. J. Miller, of Johnstown, was in town for a few days, stopping with Mr. and Mre. Perry H. Luse. Dr. Miller is one of the prosperous physicians in that city. He had just returned from Philadelphia and New York, and at the former place visited his daughter, Mrs. A. W Marre, whose husband is a dreughtsman for the Rapid Transit Company.
