The sta tuette is about 20 inches high and the figure is complete to the minutest de tails. The right hand rests on a table on which are a book and a flowerpot, with leaves, stalk and flowers deftly carved with the knife. The whole figure is painted in dif ferent colors, the flesh {ints being, to say the least, striking.
