Good, Do Likewise. Persons who have defrauded the printer, should follow the example be- low: A strange case of conscience relief came to light in Williamsport the past week. An old man who lives on a farm near Warrensville, and who for- merly lived in Williamsport, on Thurs- day called upon a lady who resides on Laurel street. He handed her one dol- lar, saying that the sum was in pay- ment for a wheelbarrow which he had stolen from her husband twenty-five Years ago, while in his employ. The old man said the matter troubled him 80 that he made up his mind that he would go and pay for the wheelbarrow and confess the theft. This resolution was made after many compunctions of conscience, caused by the sight of the wheelbarrow, which is yet in his barn. After paying the conscience debt the old gentleman departed, apparently in a happy frame of mind. smn air co About Bill Posting. Centre county farmers, who have been annoyed by bill posters will be interested in the law affecting matter which we herewith publish. It was passed June 8, 1881, and is follows: “If any person or persons shall, without the consent of the own- er or owners thereof, willfully daub, paint advertisements or post placards upon, or otherwise deface the walls of any building or buildings, house or houses, or the fences around the yard or yards connected therewith, or any fence surrounding or enclosing any va- cant inlots, farm or farms, or shall as “Celluloid”’Collars and Cuffs turn water like a duck’s back and show neither spot nor soil. The law calls for a cross, and nothing but a eross shall be counted. who st Henry w ilson, the postmaster Welshton, Florida, says he cured a case of diarrhoea of long standing in six hours, with one small bottle of Chamberlain's Colie, Cholera and Di- arrhoea Remedy. What a surprise that must have been to the sufferer. Such cures are not unusual with this remedy. In many instances only one or two doses are required to give permanent relief, It can be depended upon. When reduced with water it is pleasant to take. For sale by Wm. Pealer, Spring Mills, and B. M.
