Mancie, Ind., April 2.—A cyclone struck Oakville, five miles south of here. yesterday afternoon, and total} ly destroy ed it. Two wind~clonds met at the hous of Lewis Cochran, two miles from Oak- vill, and tore it to pieces. Two minutes and a half later it strack Oakville, carry ing death and destruction in its track Of 30 houses in Oakville all but three were torn to atoms. Four persons were killed outright i in Oakville and fifty in- Jurec d. This morning James Sanders, two miles west, and W. Smith were killed, making six killed and & large number wounded. Fifiy are reported wounded The large warebonse and sawmill ad- joining are in ruins and the scene is a chaos of rubbish, whose ownership it is impos sible to tell. Anna Dearburn, an o 2d lady, and her sous, Col. Johnson and James FE wore killed and two other peisons whose names could not be ascer- tained, Christian Twain lost everything and had bis house blown over his bead, but escaped uninjured, L. Hate had a new house removed entirely frcm its foundation. The track of the cyclone was about a quarter of a mile wide, and de- siroyed ev reryibing in its track. - A party of Hungarians were walking on the railroad track near Scranton, oun , when a train came along, killing four and dangerously injured two. —New styles Derby and Fedora hats just received at the Bee Hive.
