Portland, Oregon, December 8. —An explosion yesterday in tunnel No 1 of the Oregon and California railroad extension, twenly miles from Riddle, killed four] Chinamen, and dangerously injured four) others, and biew a number out of the tun nel. After the blast had been fired the Chinamen began drilling agsin and struck acharge of gisnt powder which had not exploded.
