CHEAP FERTILIZES.
For several years past, Itlr. L. E.
Metcalf, of Franklin, Maas., has used,
21% lie recently informed us, a compost
of Walt, ashes and plaster, on all his
nem crops, with restilis so entirely
- , atisfactory, that he feels safe in re
emarnending it to others. Without

mix one part of salt with two palls of
gray rock plaster,,and then adds about

mass is then thoroughly mixed, and
allowed to stand a few days before
