The young lady wrapped her fur cape around the little girl and thus smothered the fire, but not until the little girl had inhaled the fllamcs and was also badly burned about the body Since last November the Cambria Irou company has successfully operated a plant of sixty Otto Hoffman by-product coke ovens, and a contract for sixty additional ovens has been let, which will be c.omplet ed about next June. The Sharon Iron company has contracted ior a plant or twriitv-live Seniet-Solvav ovens: the Illi nois Steel company has purchased the right for a plant of Carves- H urssener ovens, and the Otto Coke and Chemical company. of Pittsburg is locating a plant of one hundred Otto-Hoffman ovens near that city, w hich location w ill be kept a secret until the deal for the coal land and plant is completed. Mrs. Hoschett had made several at tempts before to take her life, but had al ways tieen prevented. About two months ago, while at Portage, she threw herself in front of an approaching train, but was dragged from her perilous position in lima to save her life. On Sunday she had a quarrel with her husband which started her again on the Idea of e f-destruction and shortly after h'.inted up the revolver and shot herself.
