The branch train on Its return trip was delayed about half an hour on account of tho fire, it be ing too hot and dangerous to pass nlth the train. In some manner a draft of cars was thrown in on one of the tracks and, before they could be gotten out of the way, the wagon and both horses were shoved en tirely through the thick round house walls. Farmers who read the newspapers will i do well to make a note of the following: : A stranger called on a Centre county larm er, Introdueed himself as a brother of a i prominent citizen of P.ellefonte, and pro posed to buy a farm which was located some distance from the homestead. He fore starting to look at the property the stranger asked the farmer to put away for him an envelope, containing, as he said, $3,r00. Terrel is the name jrlveri by a man who was arretted by Offieer Connery on Clinton street at 4:4 yesterday (Monday) afternoon on a charge of disorderly con duct. He was standing In front of the shoe store of Louis Wehn A Son when, without any cause whatever, he picked up a brick and hurled it through the show window. He was promptly taken into custody and was this (Tuesday) morninir given a hear ing by Mayor Rose. The only charee that could be preferred against him under the city ordinance was that of disorderly con duct, and the Msyor gave him the full limit thirty days. Terrel is a yountr man and Is evidently more or less demented. He says he came here last Sunday from Seranton. On his person was found a check for bagsaee at Sunbury, Pa.
