The miners are not ! making one fourth time. The Slessrs. Tost, of Carrolltown, are drilling prospecting holes on tbe coal land of W. n. Tiper & Co. rear here. One of the results is a beautiful flowing well or pure cold water. Abtmt one hundred buckets of black berries per day are shipped from Lilly. Most of them are taken by trainmen and disposed of to parties in Altoona and Con en.angh. Three cents per quart is the price paid tne pickers. A terrible accident occurred here on Fri day night of last week by which two young men named Andrew Sutton and Adolphus Diehl lost their lives. These two young men had been to Sumtr.erhill and returning on freigh, about 9 o'clock r. m. In some manner, 1uet how will doubtless remain a mystery, were throwD under the wheels and shockingly mutilated. Their bodies were not found until 2:.'J0 Saturday morning. The body of Sutton was severed in the middle and both arms were cut off ; also the top of his head was crushed, while DiehPs body was simply a ground up mass gathered up with shovels in which a hand and foot were the largest pieces. Both men were in the employ of D. K. Wilhelm at his saw mill on Ben's creek, and were steady, industrious young meu. The remains of Sutton were interred in the Catholic cemetery here on Sumlay atter an appropriate sermon by Her. Father browoe. Ilis ronetal, which was attended by the Knights of Labor, was one of the largest ever seen here. Diehl'8 i remains were interred in the cemetery near his home, which is near Butlersville, Blair j county. Both were unmarried and aged about 24 years. But from these sad, shock ing scenes we turn to the brighter side. This week the wedding bells have been ringing their mer riest peals. The fir.-1 wedding took place on Tuesday and was that of Mr. Frank Leap and Miss Ellen McMonis, both of Washington town ship, rhe iit'endat.ts wvrt Mr. .lames Fra-m-y ni'l lhs K'oiiia Leap. Kv. Two other young and loving hearts were joined in the silken tie of matrimony by Lev. Father Browne, on Wednesday morning also, in the persons of Mr Jacob Bender and Miss Katie Scanlan. Both are young, hand some and respected, and are we!! calculated to make each olher happy throughout the the journey "adowa the stream of time." There appears in our colums to-day the advertisement of the well-known fand uni versally used in thr Southern Slates) Sim mons Liver Regulator. Years ago it won its way into every household In the South by pure, sterling merit. It there takes the place of a doctor and costly prescriptions. The medicine is becoming widely known In the Xorth, and wherever used the demand Tor it has steadily increased. It Is a ramily medicine, containing no dangerous and de leterious qualities, but purely vegetable, and so gentle in its action thar it can be sarelv given to any petson, no matter what age the centenarian or the crowing young ster. Working people are oUen in that mis erable state of health which really unfits them for labor ; but thev havn't time to take medicine and be sick. Simmons Liver Reg ulator can be taken without causing any loss ot Urn, ana the system will be built up and invigorated by it. The Ree ilator pro motes digestion, dissipates nasty sick head ache, and gives a strong, rull tone to the system. In malarious climates it is iuvalu a'jle, both protecting attack rrom the dis ease and expelling the poison after it has entered the system. It has no equal as a preparatory medicine, and can be sately used when a doctor cannot be called in Persons of the very nighest character and eminence have given Simmons Liver Regu lator their cordial and heartv endorsement.
