When the thoughts, and objections, and methods of reasoning, used by Skepticism are weighed in the judgraejit of a thorough student of Holy Writ, they ail vanish into thin air, and dissipate before the light like Tapoiy nothingness. A skeptic is answered in these words "Ye do err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God." This becomes plain when we consider the nature of the arguments against the resur rection of the body. 1. Parts of a human body are scattered In different couutries. 2. The same atoms may have dwelt In two different nnimal bodies. 3. The human body may be so dissipated Into vapors and ashes, that the Creator could not reconstruct It, etc. Now. in the Light of God's Truth, these cavilings provoke a smile. "They do err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God." . Now, for the sake of Illustration, as sume a certain Individual to be standing be fore you. 2. Now asurue that every ultimate atom In that individual body Is instantly chanjeri, new particles taking the places of each and every distinct atom in the body under con sideration. X Still would the body, thus renewed, be the same individual, with the same Ideas, the same emotions, the same aspirations. 4. This assumed atom renewing process does actually take place slowly science says, in seven years. 5. Now conceive again that these new partielos may te ethereal, glorious atoms, beyond the reach of decay still the ludi- vidualily Is undisturbed. 6. Moreover, even some organs, redun dant in a higher sphere of existence, could be dispensed with, and yet we still have the identical man wa used to know, wbh all bis lineaments, feelings and characteilstics. The Psalmist says the human members .. wrj,t(.n in a hook everv hair of the are ft" wrllTen in a dook every niir oi mo bead numbered. Thus we find that the P''an f the individual body, as to structure nnd. character, are ineffaceable, . . . . . The iner trunk of a body, destitute of limbs is ftill the same body. ! When Our Lord rose from the dead, ne vanquished Death on his own ground, rais ing up the same, unchanged body which had beeu uaiisd to the tree, just as Lazarus was rained to life in the same, unchanged body. Hence we find the Master eating and drinking wilh his disciples Drinking wine with them lu His Father's kingdom, as He had told them. When ne "ascended up on high" He took with him a glorious body, changed in the twinkling of an eye, as the bodies af all the saints will b chaneod at he Last Day. But some rise to shame and contempt, un changed, full of sin and corruption. A. D. U. Chest Springs, May 22, lSHfi. Additional News Jletes.
