Tbomas H. Brown, of Ridgway, for merly of Punxsutawney, who ie held in Jail at Buffalo, N. Y., pending the ar rival of papers for bis extradition to the officials of Cameron couuiy, where he is wanted on a charge of bigamy, is taking the matter philosophically, ac cording to the following, which is a re print from the Ridgway Daily Record: "Brown took his arrest, cooly. In fact, be is is said to have grinned broadly when apprehended by the of ficers. He had secured employment in Buffalo at his trade as an electrician and had been working for two days at four dollars a day. He still stoutly denies that he was ever married to the Driftwood girl and does not seem to realize the seriousness of the situation in which he has been placed by his unwise conduct. He is charged with two offenses, that of per jury in swearing that ho had no wife, in order to secure a marriage license, and of having committed bigamy. "G. C. Hass, of Punxsutawney, Brown's brother-in-law, was in Ridg way last Friday, having returned from Emporium, where he went to sign re quisition papers. It is expected that Brown will be brought to Emporium soon, where ho will be placed in jail to await trial.
