EST A RUSHED, 1866. Cameron County Press HENRY H. MULLIN, Editor and Publisher. PUBLISH KI> KVKKV THURSDAY I DEATH'S DOINGS. SASSMAN. Henry Sassman, aged 74 years, pass od away March 12tb, 1009, at his resi dence on Fifth Street, where he had resided for many years. Deceased leaves a wife, in feeble condition, and four children —one son and three daughters, viz: Henry J. Sassman, | Mrs. Miller, Port Allegany ; Mrs. H. | O. Haupt, and Mrs. Gordon liaker, at home. The funeral was held last Sunday at one o'clock from the family residence, Rov. Paul J. Lux, pastor of Presby terian Church officiating. Deceased came to Emporium from Baltimore, Md., and for years followed his occupa tion of carpenter until ill health com pelled him to retire from active labor. Being of an active disposition he could not remain idle and did many light pieces of work. One by one the old land marks are passing away. DIXON. MARGARET EMMA,wife ofG.T. Dixon died at her home in Westboro, Wis., March'lOth, 1909, aged 55 years, one month and eighteen days. Deceased was born in Shippen township, Camer on county, Jan. 13th, 1554, and was tho only daughter of Jirali and Mary Car ter, deceased. The death of Mrs. Dixon came not unexpected. She had been a great sufferer, from a complication of diseas es, for one year or more. On Dec. 24, she took to her bed and although the physicians ahd nurses in constant at attendance did all in their power, she never rallied and peacefully passed away March 10th. Her husband and srrn took the remains of their beloved wife and mother and wended their way towards home (Emporium) where a large concourse of relatives and friends in carriages attended the remains to the little church in Rich Valley, where the funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, amid the scenes of her childhood and amongst her relatives and friends, who loved and respected her. Rev. J. F. Anderson, pastor of First Methodist Episcopal Church of Emporium, con ducted the services and spoke many comforting words from the text: "Job was a good and just man." The Em porium M. E. Church choir was in at tendance and beautifully rendered the sacred hymns that brought balm to many an achine heart. Kind hands carried the beautiful casket and the precious remains and tenderly laid them in the home cemetery with her dear departed dead. The bereav ed husband and son, much worn from their long vigil and journey, are rest ing with friends near their former home at present. Mr. and Mrs. Dixon were married on May 26, 1877 and resided in Shippen township until March 1902, when they moved to Westboro, Wis., where Mr. Dixon was engaged as Supt. of the Westboro Lumber Co., composed of Emporium capitaists—C. B. Howard Co. During her long illness old friends formerly of Emporium, were very kind to our dearly loved one and ren dered all aid possible. We are very grateful to our kind friends, both in Wisconsin, Emporium and Rich Valley for the many favors and sympathy be stowed upon us. Also to the officials of the Emporium & Rich Vallev R. R., who kindly ran a train from Empori um to Rich Valley Church, Saturday noon, March 13th, conveying all friends and relatives to and from the funeral. Thank you. Mr. Dixon and son will remain here for a few days, resting, before returning to Wisconsin. The Doctor's Question Advice Against the Use of Harsh Pur gatives and Physics. A doctor's first question when con sulted by a patient is, "are your bowels regular?" He knows that ninety-eight per cent, of illness is attended with in active bowel and torpid liver. This condition poisons the system with noxious germs and waste matter which naturally accumulates and which must be removed through the bowels before health can be restored. Salts, ordinary pilis and cathartics may as truly likened to dynamite. Through their harsh, irritation action they force a passage through the bowels, causing pain and damage to the delicate intestional structure which weakens the whole system, and at best only produces temporary relief. The repeated use of such treatments cause chronic irritation of the stomach and bowels, hardens these tissues, deadens their nerves, stiffens their muscles and generally brings about an injurious habit which sometimes has fatal results. We have a positive, pleasant and safe remedy for constipation and bowel die orders in general. We are so certain of its great curate value that we prom ise to return the purchaser's money in every case when it fails to produce en tire satisfaction. This remedy is called Rexall Orderlies. We urge you to try them at our entire risk. Rexall Orderlies are very pleasant to take, they act quietly and have a sooth ing, strengthing, healing influence on the entire intestinal tract. They do not purge, gripe, cause nausea, flatu ence, excessive looseness, diarrhoea or other annoying effect, and they may be taken at any time without any in convenience. Rexall Orderlies overcome the drugg ing habit and cure constipation and all similar ailments, whether acute or chronic. They are especially good for children, weak persons or old folks. Price, 3(i tablets, 25c, and 12 tablets, 10c. Mrs. M. A. Rockwell, Druggist, Emporium, Pf-. Rheumatism Cannot be Cured Unless Uric-0 is Used. Sudden Deaths Heart Failure and Paralysis are Caused by Poisonous 1 Uric and Rheumatic Acids. The Rheumatic person is skeptical regarding the claims of almost any remedy advertised as a cure for Rheu matism and one can scarcely blamo him for being so. All the plasters and liniments combined never actually cured a case of Rheumatism. They may relieve it in one-quarter but it is sure to break out somewhere else. The only true way to cure Rheumatism is to drive it from the system, for as long as the Uric and Rheumatic Acid re mains in the blood, one is never entire ly free from the trouble. Uric-O seeks out the Rheumatic poison in the blood, muscles and kidneys, renders it mert and harmlesss and drives it out of the system. (It is composed of perfect anti dotes for the rheumatic acid poison in the system, and the secret of its won derful success lies in the fact that it is designed to cure Rheumatism only. Uric-O is sold by druggists at 75c and fl.oo the bottle. A liberal sample may be procured by writing to the Smith I Drug Co , 363 Smith Bldg., Syracuse, I N. Y. Easy To Mix This. What will appear very interesting to many people, here is the article taken from a New York daily paper, giving a simple prescription, which is said to be a positive remedy for backache or kidney or bladder derangement, if taken before the stage of B right's dis ease : Fluid Extract Dandelion, one-half ounce ; Compound Kargon, one ounce ; Compound Syrup Sarsaparilla, three ounces. Shake well in a bottle and take in teaspoonful doseß after each meal and again at bedtime. A well-known druggist here at home, when asked regarding this pre scription, stated that the ingredients are all harmless, and can be obtained at a small cost from any good prescrip tion pharmacy, or the mixture would be put up if asked to do so. He fur ther stated that while this prescription is often prescribed in rheumatic afllict tions with splendid results, he could see no reason why it would not be a splendid remedy for kidney and uri- Dary troubles and backache, as it has a peculiar action upon the kidney structure, cleansing these most impor tant organs and helping them to sift and filter from the blood the foul acids and waste matter which cause sickness ann suffering. Those of our readers who suffer can make no mistake in giving it a trial. $25.00 for a Name. We are now demonstrating in the store a new perfume and we want a name for it.
