Mrs. Francis Sterling who has been quite ill is reported better. MameGilmartin, of Johnsonburg, visit ed friends in town the past week. Georire Darren and family of Sinna mahoning visited parents J. 11. Darren and wife Sunday. The Mason reunion was held in Wylie's Grove, Tuesday, there were 150 present, 123 relatives and 27 visitors. The old est relative present was Washington Mason, who is in his 85th year. The youngest relative present was Carrie Evelyn 11 weeks old. All enjoyed a very pleasant time. Mr 3. Lottie White and family after making a short visit with her parents J. It. F rank and wife returned to her home at Rochester. Tuesday, her sister Gene vieve Frank accompanied her. Joseph Mason, wife and son, of Re novo, are visiting relatives in town. Mrs. D. E. Spangler who has been quite ill is able to be out again. Mrs. A. F, Anderson and Mrs. John Anderson visited in Driftwood Saturday, guests ot Mrs. Norburg. Word was receivod here that Lawrence Chapman and only child were drowend the past week at Naeell, Wash. His wife was Addie Wylie, both formerly of this place, and his many friends regret to hear of their sad death. BLUE BELL. CAMERON. John MeCann has been busy the past week enlarging the summer kitchen at the residence of Wm. McVane. "Dad" is quite a carpenter. The supervisors has again resumed work on tne Britton Hill load. It is reported that the Canoe Run mines will resume operation as soon as the tipple is rebuilt, which work was commenced by Jack Clark this week. J. M. Schneider our up-to-date and obliging agent attended the P. R. R Agents Convention at Erie this week. The interior of the Valley House is re ceiving a new coat of paint and wall paper. Happy Jack doing the work. The school house is receiving a thorough overhauling, preparatory to the winter term which commences next week. Mrs. J. M. Olsen, who has been visit ing her daughter in this place left for home Monday. It is reported the brick works received another large order this week which will keep them busy for several months. The Cameron base ball team received another severe drubbing at the hands ol the Sterling Run nine Monday. Not knowing the trouble, the boys consulted Dr. F. E. Comley who stated the follow ing: "If you boys had a little more, a little less practice and use a little better judgment, you might be able to play ball." The ccmpany will fill their drv kiln this week, it will take about four days to dry a kiln of lumber. Harry Strayer has returned from Keating Summit where ho has been working the past two months. The P. & E. stone masons are put ting in a new bridge at Grove Run this week. H. O. Berfield who has been at the Williamsport Hospital under treatment for rheumatism catne home last Satur day he speaks very highly of the insti tution. Pap Blodeet is laid up with a severe attack of gout. Several cases of mumps and whoop ing Cough in town. One day last week Pap Berfield was telling about how he killed three pheasants and a few days after the game warden of Westport was up to investigate and found out it was about thirty years ago when Pap done the killing. Jim Batchelder killed a fine bear in his sleep one night last week, when he awoke the bear was gone. Several of our town people took in dance at Pfoutze's last Saturday night. Tne fish and game warden of Clinton county was up this week to assist our warden in looking up the fish baskets.
