Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of
the Commonwealth.

proposed as amend menu to the Constitution of
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in accord
ante with the provisions of the eighteenth arti
cle thereof:

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and
1 House of Representatives of the ( ommonwealth
of Pennsylvania in General Assembly met, and
it is hereby enacted by the authority of thesame.
That the following is proposed as an amendment
to the Constitution of the Commonwealth cf
Pennsylvania, in accordance with the provisions
of the Eighteenth an icle thereof.
Amendment.
Strike out section four of article eight, and in
, sert in place thereof as follows:
Section 1. All elections by the citizens shall
be by ballot or by such other method as may be
prescribed by law: Provided, That secrecy in
voting be preserved.
