A report gained circulation on our striets Mondav that two cases of small pox had heen discovered in Berwick and that a resident of Cata wissa had shown symptoms of the contagion. An investigation however shows both rumors to be false. O-r J people can therefore disabuse their ! minds of any fear that may have been occasioned by the report. A con siderable distance separates Blooms burg from any locality where the dis ease is known to exist and for the present at least there is no cause for alarm.
