Lizzie Thomas, who has been a conspicuous figure on the streets of Bloomsburg in the past, and whose waywardness and utter disregard tor propriety, has excited comment, was arrested at Nashville, Tenn., Monday. The parents of the girl are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thomas, who have been estranged from each other for several years. Thomas is now employed in Danville, his wife resides out near Morgantown. The girl disappeared from her local common, shortly after the robbery of Leonard Jacoby's resi dence in Mt. Pleasant township, in which she is believed to have been an accomplice. One of the burglars, Cleveland Coleman, was recently ar rested, and is now behind the bars in the County jail. He is known to have been assisted in the crime, but his accomplices succeeded in evading the law. This arrest, will, it is be lieved, throw some light on the case. The following account is an Asso ciated Press dispatch from Nashville, dated Oct. 7. "Lizzie Thomas, of Bloomsburg, Pa., a beautiful girl of eighteen years, is in tears to-night at Earlington, Ky., where she was arrested this afternoon while masquerading in male attire. Frank Taylor, a notorious diamond thief and safe blower of Louisville and Cincinnati, was arrested at Earl ington this afternoon suspected of robbing a Paducah, Ky., jewelry house of several thousand dollars worth of jewelry a few nights ago. Two com panions were taken into custody The officers searched him and found an express receipt dated October 4 for goods shipped to a point in the South. It is thought this package contains the stolen jewelry. One of the party at once impressed the offi cers as being a woman in disguise, and upon being questioned she ad mitted the fact and said she had been arrested several times before but that her identity had never before been discovered. She gave her name as Lizzie Thomas, of Bloomsburg, Penna. and said she left home because she was not treated well by her brothers, and that her father is wealthy. She is unusually pretty and only about eighteen years old, has light brown hair, cut man fashion, blue eyes, full round face and features and fine com plexion, is of medium height and weighs about 110 pounds. The three arrived at Earlington in a box car." 'Squire Jacoby officiated at the marriage of George Anderson, of Danville, to Miss Florence . Stilles, of town. The event took place in the 'Squire's office Saturday afternoon. CONDITION OF (In Business Twenty-Six Months). MAISIUTIES.
