Henry on Third street, aged 79 years. Her Isaac Henry The career of E. Sweppcnheiser terminated in death, at his home in Mifflin township, this county, Monday morning, in the sixty-first year of his age. Death is attributed to a com plication of diseases. Mr. Sweppcn heiser was esteemed in the neighbor hood and will be much missed. He lived a good life and his demise is deeply regretted. A wife and four children survive One of the latter , is Mrs. Ralph R. John, of Iron street, I this town. The funeral. services were held yesterday afternoon. Rev. J. D. Smith, pastor of the Baptist Church, was taken suddenly ill while on his way from church, after the service Sunday evening. He was taken into Samuel Shaffer's residence on Third Street and med ical aid summoned. He was ben efited by the administering of some medicines and removed to the Baptist parsonage in a carriage. The sickness was an attack of heart disease, with which he has been afflicted more or less lor several years. He is very much improved at this writing. F. M. Leader has adopted a new check svstetn at his meat market whereby all patrons who buy for cash ' receive a rebate cash check for each purchase made.
