He is prepared to do surveying for any who may need his services. R. C. Rishel, associate editor of the Daily and Weekly Sun, of Nanlicoke, spent a few days in Bloomsburg last week. He is a graduate of The Col umbian office. Joseph Sharpless completed his eighty fifth year on Wednesday. He is a well preserved man for one of his age. There was a family dinner party in honor of the event. Elmer E. Person, city editor of Williamsport Grit and a graduate of The Columbian office, is giving much of his time to story writing. There has been much criticism on the con duct of the commissioners in letting the bridge without advertising for pro posals.
