The storm of last Thursday did considerable damage in our vicinity. H. H. Stout's barn was completely blown down and A. C. Smith's barn roof was partly blown off, and a large number of trees was uprooted for H. G. Ort. J. W. Sheep, Frank Smith .and Clyde Sheep from Jamison City and Frank Hacker of Red Rock, spent Sunday with their friends. Mr. Pliny, Ed Eves and Warren Hayman from Millville were seen on our streets on Sunday evening last. Call again boys, you are welcome. Mr. Lewis Kreamer was seen wend ing his way toward White Hall on Saturday eve. Charles Harris of Buckhorn called on J. H. Henrie on Sunday last. Mr. W. C. Shultz who has been attending the Jefferson Medical Col lege of Philadelphia has returned home. Mr. T. B. Carey was seen coming down the street one day last week with smiles all over his face, and when asked why he smiled so, "why," says he, "we have a little girl at our house." Mr. Isaiah Mausteller who was run over with the wagon a few days ago is able to be out again on crutches. Miss Katie Hartline started on Monday for Milton, where she .has secured a situation. The farmers in our locality are complaining very much on account of the weather. There is very little plowing done. They say one day nice and three days stormy. Keep up courage. It will come around all right in the end. - Dr. J. E. Shuman and Mrs. Chas. Fruit are improving their properties they lately purchased by building a new fence. Mr. Jacob E. Wintersteen and C. M.
