Danville'i New Jail.
PLANS APPROVED BY THE COMMISSION
ERS OF MONTOUK COUNTY FOR
THE STRUCTURE.
The tommissioners of Montour
County have decided upon the plans
for the new jail to be erectea there
The plan which has met the favor of
the Commissioners was the work of
John H. Brugler, and includes a mod
em sheriff's residence, with a twenty
cell-iail.
The present jail is an antiquated af
fair, and is so insecure that prisoners
have been sent either to E'oDmsburg
or Sunbury for safe keeping. As soon
as the plans are approved by the State
Board, work will be begun. The new
building will cost about $25,000.
