MORTUARY DIGGING — A FREE INVITATION-. —The Lot holders in the Bedford Cemetery and citizens generally of the Borough are anxious to see the grounds of the Cemetery improved, and the roads and walks completed. The managers have been labored with in the matter and urged to do something. They were Dot clear in regard to their duty in the case. What could they do ? The managers wore he-labored and urged again. Representations were made to the managers by respectable citizens and others, that something must be done. The mauagers realized the responsibility of their situation. They felt that some thing must be done. Under the influence of this feeling, the idea was uppermost in their minds that if something must be done, somebody must do it. They deliberated ; and with a full sense of the responsibility of their situation, they arrived at a do determination. They yielded to the force of circum stances, and resolved to allow every lody to go in with piek-axe, spade and hoe, and do something. I Wednesday, the loth inst., is the day, the hour 8 i o'clock in the morning. A free invitation is extend -1 ed to all, subject to regulations found, necessary from j long experience to be indispensable to the manage j ment of large bodies. Cooked rations, for not more ! than three days, should be provided by persons like |!y to need them. Iced jwater, with a lemon ! peeling in it, will he passed around as' of- I ten as may be necessary under the circumstances.— | It is hoped no objection will be made to this harmless and cooling beverage. Two persons cannot be al i lowed t> work under one umbrella at the same time, unless the umbrella is of extraordinary demensions. Wbung ladies are requested not to fan gentlemen more than fifteen minutes at one time, and not oftener than three times during one hour. It is feared, that if this request is not ctrietly complied with, that som nific lassitude, or sympathetic propensities, may ope rate unfavorably in carrying out the great object to be attained. Infants under one year old cannot lie permitted, under any circumstances, to enter the grounds, unless accompanied by a nurse or some other proper person. Such further suggestions and regulations as may lie thought necessary for the oc casion, will be made hereafter. Church Dedication. We beg leave to inform the citizens of Bedford County, that there will lie a dedication of the M. E.
