WllfdJM'fii IMPROVED VAST-IRON CARRIAGE HUB. fTSHE undersigned beliovcs that he has invented a I cast iron carriage huh which far excels all others now in use, lor strength, neatness and dura bility, and that it only needs to be examined, and its merits tested, to secure its universal approval and adoption. Indeed it is no longer an experi inent, it having been effectually tried by the best ! judges in our country, and pronounced on* of the ; Greatest Improvements of the Age! Several vehicles have been in use ov<-r two years with the Improved Hub attached, and the wheels ' are still as perfect as when they left the shop, the i unavoidable we ir excepted. This is the only Crst Iron Hub evrr invented j suUble .for light wheels. This improvement is ol sucit a nature that one or more spokes may be taken out changed or replaced without disturbing the other portion ol the wheel Where a wood hub is used, if a spoke happens to become broken, it is necessary to cut the tire and separate the felloes, to get at the damaged part.— The wheel must be then recomposed, the tire re welded and reset. AH this involves a considerable expense and loss of time. In the present Improvement the inner ends of the spok< s are secured in an Iron Hub. which con sists mainly of two shells fastened together witli screws. By simply unscrewing the nuts and taking office hack shell, any one of the spokes may be removed or changed, and 'he hub again put togctb- i er, leaving the wheel as soli i and firm as evA, all ! WITHIN THE SPACE OF A FEW MINUTES. This method of constructing Iron Ilub Wheels gives them unusual strength, LIGHT.W AMI MUTMBB, he sides obviiting several other objections that have heretofore attended their use. The cost of nuns- j facture is also greatly reduced. The subscriber Agent for Bedford County, will dispose of Township and shop rights, on reason able terms. WILLI AM O'N EAL, Agent. Feb. 18, 1859. THE GREAT PURIFIER- Ttl£ WORLD CHALLENGED I— cyio PRODUCE IT3 I KT-THE BLOOD SKAKOHEK TRIUMPHANT I Sworn statement of David McCreary, of Napier Township, Bedford county i In April, 1856. as near as I can remember, a small pimple made its appearance on my upper lip, which soon became enlirged arid sore. I used poltices of sorrel, und a wash of blue vitriol. With out effect. Finding ihe sore extending, 1 called on Dr. Ely, of Schelisburg, who pronuucced it CAN CER proscribed a wash of sugar of lead and bread pouivi ne 4- Finding these remedies of no avail, 1 caller! upon Dr. Shaffer, of Davidsrille, Somerset couritr, who also pronounced the disease Cancer, and gave rnc joternal aud external remedies —the latter consisting p,'.'ncipally of caustis ; but all to no purpose, as tbe continued spread ing toward the nose. I next used a preparation o( arsenic, in the form of salve. This ''' r a time checked the disease, but the inflamation soc.u in creased. I next called upon Dr. Statler of SI- Clairsville, Bedford county, who also pronounced the disease Cancer, and applied a salve said to be a never failing remedy, but it had no effect whatever in checking tbe spread of the sore. In December, of the same year, th s disease had eaten away a greater part ot my upjier lip, and had attacked the nose, when I went to Cincinnati, where 1 consulted Prof. R. S. Newton, of the Electic Medical College. He pronounced the disease o a cutaneous Cancer, superinduced by an inordinate use of mercury.— lie applied mild zinc ointment, aud gave iuternsl lemedies. My face healed up, but the inflamation was not thoroughly removed. In Febuary, 185", he pronounced me cured, adll I left /or home. In Apr.l tiie disease again returned and so violent was the pain that I could not rest at night. Late in May I returned to Cincinnati, and again placed myself under the charge of Dr. New ton, with whom I remained until September, during which time he used every known remedy, and partiy succeeded in checking the disease, but when I returned home there were stiil tiiree discharging ulcers upon my face. I continued using Newton's preparations, and also medicine that I got from Dr. Ely, but the Cancer continued growing until it had cat off the left tii. e of my nosr., the greater portion of my left check, ar.d had attacked my left eye. I had given up all hope of ever being cured ; since Dr. Eiy said he could only give relief; but that a cure was impos sible. Li March, 1858, I bought a bottle of 'Blood Scearcher,' but I must confess that I had no faith in it. I was very weak when I commenced taking it; but I found that I gained strength day by day, and also that the ulc< rs commenced drying up. I continued, and when the third bottle was taken my face was healed, as if by a miracle. I used a forth bottle, and I l ave been heaithicr since than I have been for tbe last seven years.
