With the Churches of the County. Notes of Interest to Church People of all Denominations in all Parts of the County. CHRISTIAN SCIENCE SOCIETY. Service Sunday 10:45 a. m. Wednes- day 8 p. m., 93 E. High street. In the absence of Rev. E. Fulcomer, pastor of the United Evangelical church of Bellefonte, over Sunday, September 6th, the Rev. C. C. Shuey, of Bellefonte, will fill the pulpit ‘both morning and evening. SPRING MILLS. Edward Winters, having secured a good posi- tion at State College, will move his family there on the 4th inst. Mr. and Mrs. Grosswaite, of Allegheny, formerly of this place, made an auto trip here on Wednesday last. C. G. Bing has commenced operating his cider- press. Afterthe Grange picnic, he will run the press twice a week. Our postmastership stil! hangs fire. Is there a squabble for the office? Some people say its like all our other trouble, its occasioned by the war in Europe. Miles Johnson, our able and affable assistant at the R. R. station-since the advent of a son,is as proud as Lucifer. Professer Jones is also won- derfully elated over the arrival of a little girl. The stork is certainly doing very well in our town. Mrs. Van Demant and two young daughters who have been visiting relatives and friends here and in the valley for the last month, returned to their home in Electria, Cal., last week. Mrs. Van Demant, formerly Miss Trix Durst, resided here in her childhood, but left our town over twenty years ago. Thanksgiving day is rapidly approaching and no turkeys in sight. The fact is, the turkey stock seems to have died out here, at least very few arein this locality. What has become of them? Formerly they were here by the hun- dreds. Fortunately we will have plenty of sau- sages, so thats one comfort. -— They are all good enough, but the WATCHMAN is always the best. New Advertisements.
