Rev. Shortess, is conducting a protracted
meeting at Rebersburg.
Yes, there will be a Boston shoe store in
Rebersburg in the near future.
Mr. Peter Yearick, of Madisonburg, is una-
kle to be out, on account of sickness.
Keinfelter & Son, of Madisonburg, expect
to run their grist mill with steam from now
en.
In Madisonburg, Ellis Shaffer leads in the
size of his porkers, three of them weighed
ever 1,200 lbs.
Mr, and Mrs. Geo. Brungard, of Rote, made
their old friends a pleasant visit at Rebers-
burg on Sunday and Saturday.
On Sunday night at Rebersburg, some per-
son or persons took a special liking to some
of John Harter’s corn and chickens.
The Madisonburg burglars, who were in
Mr. Kline's store, on Sunday night, took
about one hundred dollars worth of goods.
The broken fence about the Reformed
church, at Madisonburg, is repaired in good
shape. Boys after this be a little more care-
fal.
Prof. Thomas Auman, who is teaching the
Woodward school, came home last Saturday
evening with the mumps, and is unable to
take charge of his school this week.
Hon. Willis R. Bierly, who was busily en-
gaged in the campaign work at Williamsport,
is visiting at the old home for a few weeks.
He has been hunting, but so far has shot only
two squirrels.
Mr. and Mrs. Abner Wolf, who have been
a St. Louis, Mo., for some years, are home
to visit Mrs. Wolf's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Wm. Bair, at Rebersburg. All are glad to
see them back.
Now, boys, watch out for #he wedding
which will take place a few days before
Xmas. get your bells, buckets and drums
taned up. George will transact all necessary
business over the phone free of charge. This
would not be the first wedding message for
George.
