BY PUMP SUNKINS, ESQ.
Tho times, they eay, are mighty hard,
And men can’t find a dollar
To spend on pants or coat or vest,
Or even on a collar.
Republicans blame Democrats,
Forall this mighty bother,
And Democrats Republicaus—
So each one blames the other
Some swear that Lincoln's just ¢ _
To cure this mighty evil,
While othe:s wy nes tying hard
Tu eend us to the Devil,
And so it goes—and polities,
Makes fst friends fight each other,
And kindles bitter feelings, which
They try in vain to smother.
Now, this is all a silly thing,
Ard comes of human blindness,
For all men should be brothers, and
Should live in peace and kinduess.
If you're a “pub” and I'm a ‘-Dem,’’
That need not cause a trouble,
Normake us call each other names,
Nor beat each other double,
For where’s the use in you and I,
To go to pullin’ triggers,
Just for a nasty greasy lot.
Of woolly-pated niggers.
Just nove at all—and so say I,
We've made a mighty blunder,
For politics is just the thing
To send us all to thunder.
So let us stop it—and we’ll try
‘Lo pull once nore together,
And buy from Sternburg all our clothes
For this cold winter weather.
He's got a large and handsome stock,
Just brought here from the city,

ANEW AND TMPORTANT WORK.
THE FOUR ACTS OF DESPOTISH,
BY A. D. MAHONEY, OF IOWA,
Author of the “Prisoner of State.”
This work contains fall and official copies of
he Four Great Acts of Despotism by which the
constitutional government of Washington wis sub-
verted, and the irresponsible Lincoln dynasty in-
stalled in its place.
1. Tae TAx BILL, by which all the property
and resources of the people are mortgaged to the
resent administration.
2. Tue CoxserierioN Brun by which all the
bodies of poor men not worth $300 are placed in
the hands of the Administration.
3. Tue FiNaNce Binu, which destroys State
Banks and places the entire currency of the coun-
try in the hauds of the Sacretary of the Treasury.
4. Tuk INDEMNITY ACT. (iting climax.) which
presumes to indemnify the President for all the
wrougs he has comuitted in the past or may com-
mit in the future.
These four acts are each preceded by a care
ul analysiz, by Mr, Mahoney, and their unjust,
oppressive. unconstitutional and odious features
pointed out. As a book for reference, it will be
invaluable to the farmer, the mechanic, the poli
tioian, the laborer—in fact, to every person, for
these monstrous acts reach trom the loftiest man-
sion to the humblest cabin in the land.
These four acts are not published together in
any other form. They will make a largo octave
pamphlet ot nearly 200 pages, in good sized type
and wlll be sold at the low price of Fiery CNTs
in paper, and SeveENTY-Five CENTS in musiin
binding.
Bend on the orders at once. All orders will be
filled according to the date of receipt. First
