Uncle Sam and Family,
STERNBERG AHEAD!
Yankee Freedom is a lad.
And Union is hig sister ;
Uncle Sam he is their dad
And he'll give secesh a twister.
For they said Mrs. Sam she died—
We #lways called her virtue—
But you, Secesh, indeed have lied,
And now he’s going to birch you.
Yankee and his sister, too
Are bound on retribution ;
For our mother they said they knew
Died of a broken Constitution.
But Yankee Freedom will now show
Secesh to have been mistaken;
Though of necessity he’s their foe
Until they right again awaken,
Then Secesh the tune will find
Was turned ag short as this.
While turning to the Clothing Store sign,
Which we don’t want you to miss ! *
