When Kentuaky was an infant State, and

Old apple trees that have ceased to bear,
should have the soil renewed from the roots,
and the old limbs taken otT, and the tops
thinned out. The soil above the roots should
dun be replaced by an equal bulk of com

pulverised clay, two casks tanslacked
