Don’t do it, Gnus.—We find the following
advice togirts in our exchanges, and copy',U
far die benefit of ibe- feminines of this region:
?here is a practice, «iuite pievalent among
young ladies of the present dajr, -which we are
oUUfashioned enough to consider very improper.
We allude to thett giving daguerreotype! of
themselves to young men who are merely ac
quaintances. Wo consider it indelicate in the
highest degree. We afe astonished dial any
young girl should hpid herself so cheap as this.
With an accepted lover it is of coarse all right.
Even in this ease the likeness should be return
ed, if. thVengagementshould by any misunder
standing cease. If this little should
meet the eye of any young girl about to give
her daguerreotype to a gentleman acquaintance,
let her know that the remarks made by young
men when together, concerning what is perhaps
on her part but a piece of ignorance or impru
dence, wojild, if she heard them, cause her
i cheeks to crimson with shame and anger.
Tub Y-ai.de or Goon Lungs.—We advise Our
readers who are desirous of preserving the use
fulness of the lungs and bronchial apparatus not
to defer.taking medicine.in time for their cure.
Most of thu consumptive cases which end fatal
ly, are the resqlt of a beginning of a
cough or cold, which could easily be removed
by a bottle, of Dr. Kejser’s. Pectoral Syrup,
now put up and sold at 60 bis. and $l-per bottle.
It has had ahundattt .evidence of its vast supe
riority over most other remedies, and those who
resort to it in time will save a groat deal of
suffering from.thosb disagreeable diseases which
arc so prevalent during the winter and spring
months. You can get it at Dr. Keyset’s Drug
Store, No. 140 Wood street For sale by G. W.
