At the close of the Oregon Conference a vounsr minister was united in marriage to a f young lady of Oregon, and the young couple took iiassaee in a shiD to San Francisco. At the conference, in making out the appoint Anents, one appointment had to be filled, but It was bard to reacn, ana rougu wnen rcacnea. The young minister was thought of, but he dis liked to make the appointment; but he seemed to be the r!ght man in the right place. With great nervousness he wrote the name of the brother, and he was read out for "Union and KureRa." While at the table he saw the brother and his loving bride approaching him, he sup posed, to protest against the appointment. They spoke, and the Bishop said, "I hope I have sent your busband.to a fcood place.'" SUe sweetly Eaid, "Bishop, II It is not a good place, we'll try to make it one." The Bishop urged the ministers to make the places to which they are about to he appointed good places, If they are not.
