Statistics inform as that the cost of enclng in the United States Is greater than our hole national vi ar debt ; and that the farmers of Pennsylvania alone have spent f I90,eoo,ooo In this way, whilst the cost of keeping up and erecting these barriers In the whole United (States is estimated at I200,COO,000 annually. In view of these enormous outlays it seems of the utmoBt Importance that farmers, railroad compa nies, owners of country seats, and others having land to enclose, should endeavor to obtain the best and most enduring material for this purpose. We think that, after green hedges and stone walls, our friend Philip S. Justice (whose advertisement will be found in another column) has produced the neatest and most effective fence for all wants whlca we have seen ; and we advise our friends to look Into tbe menu of his Galvanized Elastic Cable Fence, as It seems to us "to nil the bill," whilst It Is certainly marvellously cheap.
