American i&roMia rivk A cause was tried last July In our Courts, the parties being tne Ameri can agents for the Worcestershire Sauce against a Sauce made here une'er a recipe bought from a party In England, claiming to be the owner thereof, aud with a similar label and general appearance, all of Which was supposed to belong to the party afore said that sold the recipe, and used by the purchaser In good faith, as his right to the purchase. The agents finding that they had no cause against Mr. A. A. Smyth, the suit la his case wus discon tinued. The matter came np again yesterday against another party who had sold tno Sauce complained of. As before, no case was made out. Mr. Thomas R. Patton, of Thirteenth and Locust streets, Is the only party whose case has not been called np. He Is the one least b.amable in the whole matter, as he supposed be was buying Worcester shire Sauce that had been imported and sold to him &s a bargain, for some cause to him unknown. Epicures who tried to And a difference between the Sauces submitted to them failed to do so, prov ing conclusively that the American article was as good as tie imported. Mr. A. A. Smyth manufac tures this American Sauce, known as the "Cham pion of American Sauce," which Is now sold at all our best gioceries, and Is used at the hotels, restau rants, and private tables with more satisfaction than any Sauce made in either America or Europe.
