A formal ojnitilng of tho extensive museum attached to the Hahnemann Medical College, at No. 1105 Filbert street, took place at noon yes terday, tjuite a number of the attaches of tho institution, with their friends, were present, aud after viewing the line collections f specimens, partook of a collation served byCatererD.il. Burton. The museum is an elegant affair, and comprises over-two thousand .specimens of skeletons, dried preparations, clastic, papier in ache and wax models, ostcological and com parative anatomy specimens wot preparatious, surgical apparatus, materia mcdica cabinet, miiieralogical cabinet, aud numerous plates, In cluding all those published by the Sydenham Society. The elastic models 'Were imported from France, and in themselves form a valuable collection. In addition to the museum, there are two lecture-rooms in tho building, each capable of seating three hundred students. At the rear of the college a room has been specially fitted up with beds, for the accommodation of patients desiring surgical operations. This col lege is rapidly gaining an enviable reputation for its thorough course of instruction. The method of instruction at this college is similar to that in vogue at Yale and Harvard Colleges. Last night about '.) o'clock a fire broke out on the roof of dwelling No., 1414 Sansom street, occupied by Mrs. Stewart and owned by Miss Edwards. The alarm was ' not given for somo time after the discovery, eonsecuently a consid erable period elapsed before water was got on the burning building. However, when once tho aqueous lluid was started, there was a perfect de luge, and the flames were soon extinguished. The roof of No. 1412, owned by . the Uuion League and occupied os a ehoo manufactory by Edward Meakim, was also burned oil.
