Sexton, Eiq., was in the chair, Horatio Gate Jones, Esq., acting as Secretary. The opening prayer was offered by th Rev. Mr. Good do. After these introductory religious ex ercises the business of the meeting- was opcued by the reading, by ChsrlPs King, Esq., of the report of the Board of Commissioners of the Society for its tecond jear'd operation. The principal facts of the report were in reference to the proposed new church at South Broad and Reed streets. The report stated that a lot of 75 feet on Broad street and 178 feet on Reed street had been purchased for $12,000, ot which sum f4(K Oh id yet tabs raised. On this lot it is in tended to build a chapel and school-houses for thd use of the fast increasli e population of this district.
